So you’ve got your Unhurried Print Club art in the mail! Now what?
This post will outline some basic ideas to get you started on how you can display and easily change out your monthly art!
I’m still gathering photo examples off all these ideas, so bear with me as I update this page over the next few months!
Everyday Viewing: Easy Displays
I create art whose number one purpose is to be enjoyed. Sometimes that means the art needs to exist in plain view in an everyday location perhaps at the expense of the art print’s longevity. Fridge magnets, desk displays, clipboards, and push pins are all 100% valid ways to display your art in a way that you will constantly see it. Just because it is archival quality doesn’t mean it has to last forever!
Fine Art Status: Framing Your Art
Every month’s print will be a vertically orientated 5×7 sized print. This is a very standard size and you should easily find a frame that you love and fits your interior decor.
For extra ease, look for frames with backing that is easily removable (photo to the right coming soon). You don’t want to be hurting your fingernails every time you swap out an art piece. If your frame is hanging on a wall, another option may be removing the backing entirely. You may have to secure the matt with tape once, but it will save you effort each month as you update your art.
Get Creative!
Find a solution that fits your style! Here are some other tools that I think could be very useful in displaying your art.
- Self Adhesive Photo corners – stick these to any surface and you can slip in a new art piece every month.
- Card Tree display – display one or many prints at the same time
- Clothes pins or binder clips – attach to a hook or string to hang anywhere
- Picture ledges – just stand up the print against a firm backing and display right on a shelf or ledge
- Mini table top easels – you might need to secure the print to cardboard or backing, but then you can just pop it on an easel
Did you come up with your own display method? I’d love to see it! Leave me a comment below, send me an email, or tag me on Instagram (@maryhop.art)!
